Thiago Santos Secures First Win in Five Years Against Guto Inocente at Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA
Former UFC fighter Thiago Santos emerged victorious, ending a five-year winless streak with a dominant first-round TKO over kickboxer Guto Inocente at Friday's Gamebred Bareknuckle MMA event.
Following a somewhat cautious opening, Santos showcased his grappling prowess by taking Inocente down and pinning him against the cage. From this dominant position, Santos systematically overwhelmed Inocente, who appeared unable to escape the difficult situation.
With his opponent trapped, Santos unleashed a barrage of strikes, causing significant damage to Inocente's eye and leading to profuse bleeding. The referee intervened and stopped the fight with less than a minute remaining in the first round.
Official Result: Thiago Santos defeated Guto Inocente by TKO (ground and pound) at 4:21 of Round 1.
This victory marks Santos's first win since his 2021 decision victory over Johnny Walker, ending a streak of five consecutive winless fights.
Meanwhile, Inocente has now suffered three losses in his last four outings, including a previous appearance in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship last year.
