Movsar Evloev Confidently Prepares for Alexander Volkanovski Title Showdown
Undefeated featherweight contender Movsar Evloev is expressing strong confidence that his next opponent will be the reigning two-time UFC Featherweight Champion, Alexander Volkanovski. Evloev has already commenced preparations for what he believes will be his first UFC title challenge. His recent return to the Octagon at UFC London saw him secure a victory over Lerone Murphy, a fight where Evloev notably diverged from his traditional wrestling-dominant approach, engaging in a striking battle that seemingly aimed to impress UFC brass.

Despite Evloev's impressive win and his status as the number one contender, UFC President Dana White has yet to officially confirm him as the next challenger for Volkanovski's belt. This uncertainty has created an opening for other fighters, with the #6 ranked featherweight, Jean Silva, boldly stating his case for a title shot, criticizing Evloev's performance as not being sufficiently entertaining.

However, Alexander "The Great" Volkanovski has maintained his position that he will only compete against top-tier, deserving contenders. He has also expressed willingness to face Evloev, viewing it as an opportunity to demonstrate his ability to nullify Evloev's renowned Russian wrestling skills.
Evloev's Steadfast Belief in Securing the Title Opportunity
In a recent interview, Movsar Evloev shared that after his victory over Lerone Murphy, he took some time off before planning his return to American Top Team (ATT) for his upcoming training camp. The 32-year-old expressed his conviction, stating: "We will prepare, God willing, for the title fight. Everything indicates that I will finally fight for the title next. God willing. This is a crucial stage in my career, and I want to ensure I have no regrets later."
Alexander Volkanovski, after recapturing the featherweight championship at UFC 314 last year, successfully defended his title for the first time in his second reign at UFC 325 earlier this year. He delivered a dominant performance against Diego Lopes, securing a unanimous decision victory.

Following his recent defense, the Australian champion signed a new UFC contract. Should negotiations and scheduling align favorably, a highly anticipated clash between Volkanovski and Evloev could potentially take place in the latter half of 2026.
