Kalshi Traders Predict Bitcoin to Stabilize Near Current Levels by Year-End

Despite a recent surge that pushed Bitcoin to its highest levels since May, traders on the prediction market platform Kalshi anticipate the cryptocurrency will conclude 2026 trading close to its current valuation.

Based on an aggregation of contracts on Kalshi, speculators are forecasting Bitcoin's price to hover around $75,000 by the end of 2026.

These contracts on Kalshi allow traders to bet on whether Bitcoin will fall within specific $5,000 price ranges by midnight on January 1, 2027. The outcomes are determined using Bitcoin price data from CF Benchmarks.

The recent upward momentum in Bitcoin has been attributed to two primary factors: intervention by the U.S. Treasury to mitigate a bond market sell-off, thereby easing pressure on risk assets, and a White House event where President Donald Trump, alongside crypto executives and regulators, advocated for Congress to approve the Clarity Act proposal for market structure.

This improved outlook has shifted the prevailing sentiment on Kalshi. Prior to Wednesday, the platform's traders had predicted Bitcoin would likely end the year closer to $66,000.

However, the current speculative forecast of approximately $75,000 represents a slight decrease from Bitcoin's immediate trading price, which was last observed above $77,000.
