Former UFC champion Jiri Prochazka remains focused on a potential future clash with Alex Pereira.

Pereira, a two-time UFC light heavyweight champion and former middleweight titleholder, has decided to vacate his 205-pound belt to move up to the heavyweight division. "Poatan" is set to make his heavyweight debut on June 14, where he will compete against Ciryl Gane for the interim championship.

While Pereira aims to become the first-ever three-division UFC champion, Jiri Prochazka is preparing to challenge Carlos Ulberg for the light heavyweight title in the main event of UFC 327 next weekend.

Prochazka recently reiterated his interest in a third bout against "Poatan," suggesting it could take place at heavyweight. The two fighters have met twice before, with Pereira securing knockout victories in both encounters.

Prochazka Discusses Heavyweight Aspirations and Pereira Trilogy

Jiri Prochazka stated that a transition to heavyweight would be straightforward for him. The Czech fighter expressed confidence that he would possess superior speed, precision, and endurance compared to many competitors in the 265-pound division.

"I don't really care which weight I am fighting," Prochazka explained. "When I fought in Rizin in Japan, I fought with heavyweight guys many times. I can push my body to show much greater strength and be able to fight with these types of guys, with these heavyweights, and still be faster, have more endurance, be precise – all these things. So, it's a really good idea for me."

Regarding a potential trilogy fight with Alex Pereira, the 33-year-old commented, "If I meet Alex in the future for a third fight, I hope, and I believe that I will show my best and I will win."

Prochazka also noted the slim chances of Pereira returning to light heavyweight, as Pereira himself has indicated a desire to conclude his UFC career in the heavyweight class.

For now, the 33-year-old's immediate goal is to defeat Ulberg and capture the light heavyweight championship at UFC 327, potentially paving the way for a third encounter with "Poatan."
