Adam Borics Aims to Make a Powerful Statement Against AJ McKee at PFL Madrid
The highly anticipated featherweight clash between Adam Borics and AJ McKee is finally confirmed for March 20th at PFL Madrid. For years, ever since McKee held the Bellator championship, speculation has consistently surrounded Borics' potential as a challenger and whether this matchup would earn him a shot at the title.
When asked about the feeling of finally having the AJ McKee fight locked in after such prolonged discussion among passionate mixed martial arts fans, Borics stated:
“It’s truly been a long time coming. I believe we've both had our eyes on each other for a while, especially when he was the [Bellator MMA] champion. I was actually set to fight him for the title, but then [Patricio] Pitbull requested his rematch. My primary goal is always to compete against the best fighters, and I truly believe he's currently at the pinnacle of this division. When I defeat him, I’m going to make a very clear statement.”
Adam Borics Possesses “a clear vision” for the Statement He Will Make at PFL Madrid
Asked if he visualizes specific moments or the overall outcome of his fight against McKee when PFL comes to Spain, Borics confidently responded:
“I certainly have a clear vision for this fight, but what else can I really say? I am definitely going to make a statement.”
Commenting on how the inherent excitement of both fighters makes artificial rivalries unnecessary for promoting the bout, Borics quipped:
“Honestly, just make sure you don't miss this fight because I think a lot of people have been eagerly awaiting it, and I’m confident it’s going to be a banger. AJ and I are both known for exciting fights. There’s nothing but respect between us, but make no mistake, I am coming for a victory. We’ve actually met a couple of times; we always exchange a quick chat, and he has always been very respectful. I respect him as well. He’s a good person, a skilled fighter, and ultimately, this is simply about business.”
