Northwest Chess Open
The Northwest Chess Open, an online fundraising tournament benefiting *Northwest Chess*, is set to take place on Chess.com from May 9-10. This six-round event is held in loving memory of Mike Neeley, a respected former editor of *NWC*.
Participants will vie for prizes consisting of subscriptions or extensions to *Northwest Chess*. We invite you to play and become a part of NWC's rich history, as this marks the very first NWC Open to be played entirely online. Furthermore, this year is unique, as it is the only time the event has been scheduled twice within the same calendar year, with the initial tournament having been canceled due to emergent COVID-19 concerns just before widespread shutdowns.
