Werenski has two years left on his contract, but there has been speculation about when he might be thinking. There could be a clearer picture after this weekend.

The Dallas Stars have offered Jason Robertson $12 million
Greg Wyshynski of ESPN: One source said that Dallas Stars offered Jason Robertson an eight-year deal at $12 million, matching Mikko Rantanenโs deal. Some reports have Robertson looking for upwards of $14 million, the same number as Leon Draisaitl. Robertsonโs new agent, Andy Scott, did Draisaitlโs contract.
Any Robertson offer sheet above $11,939,167 would cost four first-round draft picks, if the Stars donโt match. Only the Panthers, Leafs and Avalanche couldnโt do that.
If the Stars and Robertson canโt work out a deal, Stars GM Jim Nill is more likely to find a trade partner.
