Tyson Fury: Anthony Joshua Fight in Jeopardy Over Money Demands
Tyson Fury has stated that his boxing match with Anthony Joshua is now in significant jeopardy. Fury claims that Joshua's camp has requested a larger financial sum, putting the long-awaited bout, which was reportedly being planned for November in New York's Madison Square Garden, in doubt.
In a social media video, Fury expressed his belief that the blockbuster fight might not proceed due to Joshua's team seeking a higher purse. However, sources indicate that Joshua has indeed signed a contract for the fight, and Matchroom is still working towards an official announcement.
Fury elaborated, stating, "Quick update for you. It doesn't look like they are going to sign the fight and it doesn't look like it is going to happen all because Eddie Hearn and that want more money." He further criticized Joshua's promoter, Eddie Hearn, and Joshua himself, suggesting they have already received substantial financial benefits from Turki Alalshikh through various boxing and other sports deals over recent years. Fury accused them of having "the audacity and cheek of flea-bitten rats to ask for more money" from Alalshikh.
Concluding his message, Fury taunted his rival by saying, "Keep on running you cowards."
