Liverpool is holding further discussions with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday concerning Bradley Barcola.

Throughout the summer, the two clubs have had a valuation gap, with PSG seeking approximately £145 million for the French international.

However, the conversations conducted during this transfer window have been described as positive, and there is optimism that an agreement can be reached with just one week remaining until the deadline.

Sky Sports News reports that there are strong relationships between the senior management of both clubs. This is expected to facilitate Liverpool and PSG reaching a consensus.

Liverpool has also been exploring the possibility of signing Barcola's teammate, Ibrahim Mbaye, who plays as a right-sided winger.

The Premier League club's primary objective during this transfer window has been to strengthen their wide attacking options.

They have been actively pursuing Barcola and Mbaye, while Brighton has rejected two offers from Liverpool for Yankuba Minteh, the most recent being £60 million.

Currently, Liverpool is the sole club pursuing Barcola. The player has entered the final two years of his contract and is reportedly unhappy with his current role at the European champions.

Meanwhile, Liverpool has no intention of selling Cody Gakpo, despite interest from Tottenham and Manchester City. They would likely need to sign two new wingers before considering letting the Dutch international depart.
