Liverpool is continuing discussions with Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday regarding a potential transfer for Bradley Barcola.

While there has been a consistent difference in valuation between the two clubs throughout the summer, with PSG reportedly seeking around £145 million for the French international, these recent talks have been described as positive. There is a sense of optimism that an agreement can be reached.

Sky Sports News reports that strong relationships exist between the leadership of both clubs, which is expected to facilitate a deal.

In addition to Barcola, Liverpool has also shown interest in his PSG teammate, Ibrahim Mbaye, who operates on the right wing.

Reinforcing wide attacking positions has been Liverpool's primary objective during this transfer window. Their pursuit of Barcola and Mbaye is part of this strategy. Additionally, Brighton has rejected two offers from Liverpool for Yankuba Minteh, with the latest bid amounting to £60 million.

Currently, Liverpool appears to be the sole club pursuing Barcola. The player has two years remaining on his contract and is reportedly unhappy with his current role at the French club.

Meanwhile, Liverpool has no intention of selling Cody Gakpo, despite interest from Tottenham and Manchester City. It is understood that Liverpool would likely need to sign at least two new wingers before considering allowing Gakpo to depart.
