Lucia Szabová achieved a historic milestone at Oktagon 87, securing the vacant flyweight championship by defeating Leidiane Fernandes. The fight saw Fernandes start strong in the first round, showcasing her grappling skills and aiming for an early victory. However, by the second round, signs of fatigue began to appear in Fernandes, allowing Szabová to gain control. Szabová effectively used the clinch to land damaging knees, dictating the pace of the fight.

The third round saw Szabová solidify her dominance. She relentlessly attacked Fernandes with knees and elbows, eventually securing a takedown and advancing to mount. With Fernandes unable to defend herself against the onslaught of ground and pound, the referee intervened, stopping the fight.

Official Result: Lucia Szabová defeated Leidiane Fernandes via TKO (ground and pound) at 2:12 of Round 3, earning the Oktagon MMA flyweight world championship. This victory makes Szabová the first female fighter in the promotion’s history to simultaneously hold titles in two different weight classes.
