Newly released figures reveal the disclosed fighter payouts for the recent UFC event in Atlanta, highlighting surprising differences in compensation.
`Thug` Rose Namajunas emerged as the highest-paid fighter on the card. She was one of three former champions competing, alongside Kamaru Usman and Cody Garbrandt.
In the main event, former pound-for-pound king Kamaru Usman returned to the win column with a dominant decision victory over Joaquin Buckley. In the co-main event, Namajunas also secured a unanimous decision win against her teammate Miranda Maverick. Cody Garbrandt, however, faced a loss on the scorecards against Raoni Barcelos.
A total of 26 fighters competed at the event, earning a combined disclosed payout exceeding $3 million.
Disclosed Salaries: Namajunas Leads at $500K
According to reports, Rose Namajunas` disclosed pay for her victory over Miranda Maverick was $500,000, including a $250,000 win bonus. The former two-time strawweight champion has now competed 18 times in the UFC.
Kamaru Usman was the next highest earner, receiving a disclosed $300,000 for his main event win (this figure did not include a win bonus).
Cody Garbrandt`s disclosed pay was $275,000, despite his loss to Raoni Barcelos.
Other notable disclosed payouts included Edmen Shahbayzan at $186,000, Alonzo Menifield at $250,000, and Michael Chiesa at $300,000. At the lower end of the scale, fighters like Rodolfo Bellato ($12,000), Kris Moutinho ($14,000), and Cameron Smotherman ($14,000) had the lowest disclosed payouts.
UFC Atlanta Performance Bonuses
Beyond the standard purses, UFC Atlanta awarded several performance bonuses, each worth $50,000.
The `Fight of the Night` bonus went to Kamaru Usman and Joaquin Buckley for their thrilling five-round main event battle.
Two `Performance of the Night` bonuses were also distributed. Jose Ochoa earned one for his impressive second-round knockout of Cody Durden. Malcolm Wellmaker received the other for his knockout win over Kris Moutinho, marking his second consecutive performance bonus after also earning one in April.
