Taylor Bull has triumphantly returned to winning form in bare-knuckle combat, overcoming significant challenges to secure a decisive victory at BKB 52 within the promotion’s signature ‘Mighty Trigon’ ring.
Following a difficult loss to BKFC veteran Joseph Creer in his previous fight, the Canadian bare-knuckle champion, Taylor Bull, signed with BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing. His highly anticipated debut opponent was set to be Bubba McDaniel, a fighter with extensive experience across various combat sports disciplines.
McDaniel’s impressive fight record includes matchups against seasoned competitors such as Zion Tomlinson Sr, former BKFC champion Chris Camozzi, and even future UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland during his ascent in the UFC. Ahead of their March 28th clash, Taylor Bull shared his perspective on the upcoming fight:
“I’m certainly looking forward to facing him; he’s a seasoned veteran, and I’m not taking him lightly at all. My focus is primarily on my own strategy. ‘Hesitation causes problems,’ as I always say. I’ll stick to my game plan, dictate the pace, and bring my A-game, which I believe will make it very difficult for him. As a fighter, you always consider various outcomes, but I feel incredibly confident. Training camp has been excellent, I feel healthy and strong, and I anticipate an exciting fight, though you truly never know what might happen.”
Taylor Bull Dominates Debut with First-Round Knockout at BKB 52
Despite his pre-fight caution about unpredictability, Bull delivered precisely the exciting performance he hoped for. Taylor Bull impressively defeated Bubba McDaniel by knockout in the very first round of their BKB 52 bout. This emphatic KO victory against a respected opponent firmly establishes Bull as a formidable contender within the promotion right from his debut.
The victory also carries significant implications, as Julian Fernandez was crowned the new BKB Super Cruiserweight champion earlier that night, defeating Alex Wilson by knockout at BKB 52. By securing a win in this weight division, Bull positions himself closer to challenging for that title, a belt he aims to add to his collection of bare-knuckle accolades, which already includes Havoc FC gold from his prior successes in Canadian grassroots bare-knuckle circuits. A highlight reel moment captured the decisive blow, with the official BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing account tweeting: “THE RAGIN’ BULL SAID GOOD NIGHT! 😴” marking a memorable finish.
