Charlton Extends Perfect Start with Victory Over Preston

Charlton Athletic has claimed the top spot in the Championship standings following a narrow 1-0 triumph over a struggling Preston North End. The decisive goal, scored by Karlan Grant in his first match back with the Addicks after a free transfer from West Brom, means Charlton is the sole team in the division to have won all of their opening matches.

This marks the first time Charlton has achieved victory in their first three games of a second-tier season since the 1992-93 campaign.
