Natalia Bryant, the eldest daughter of the late basketball icon Kobe Bryant, recently marked a significant milestone by graduating from the University of Southern California on Friday. Her graduation attire featured a special and touching detail: a tribute to her father.
Prominently displayed on her sash, positioned high up near her heart, was her father`s distinctive Nike sheath logo. This iconic symbol served as a poignant reminder of the legendary athlete.
Natalia successfully completed her studies at USC`s School of Cinematic Arts. Following the ceremony, she received an outpouring of congratulations from various personalities, including USC women`s basketball star JuJu Watkins, WNBA player Sabrina Ionescu, and actor Michael B. Jordan, among others.
Introduced in 2005, the sheath logo became synonymous with Kobe`s brand, appearing widely on his Nike sneakers and merchandise.
Kobe`s enduring legacy, including his personal logo and the celebrated “Black Mamba” spirit, is also set to play a role in the upcoming 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. A unique emblem inspired by his mark was created by his widow, Vanessa Bryant, specifically for the Games.
“We designed this emblem in his honor,” Vanessa Bryant shared. “We hope this inspires the Mamba mentality in every aspiring Olympian and Paralympian. We`re so proud to see this emblem represent the Los Angeles Games. I know Kobe would be so proud to host the Games in this great city.”
Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, and seven other individuals tragically died in a helicopter crash in January 2020.
