Sports news » Mariusz Pudzianowski Responds to Eddie Hall Loss and Tapping Claims

Mariusz Pudzianowski continues to address criticism following his recent fight at KSW 105.

The acclaimed five-time World`s Strongest Man suffered a rapid TKO loss to Eddie Hall at the event held in Gliwice, Poland. The contest concluded in merely 30 seconds.

Immediately after the fight, Pudzianowski voiced complaints about receiving illegal strikes to the back of the head. His opponent, Eddie Hall, who weighs 334 lbs, offered a swift apology for these actions during a post-fight media session following his successful mixed martial arts debut.

Since then, the 48-year-old fighter has been actively posting on social media, reflecting on the bout and his third consecutive defeat.

Pudzianowski Addresses Tapping Allegations

Earlier this week, Pudzianowski responded to critical comments from KSW matchmaker Wojslaw Rysiewski regarding his performance. Rysiewski had been critical, despite Pudzianowski`s reported earnings from the fight, estimated between 1.5 and 2 million Polish Zloty (approximately $400,000 to $530,000).

A day later, the seasoned MMA fighter, with 28 bouts to his name, specifically addressed allegations circulating that he had tapped out to strikes during the fight against Hall.

Pudzianowski shared footage from the cageside during his recent bout, accompanying it with a caption that read:

“Let the experts see this. I don’t blame Eddie Hall at all, there’s excitement in a fight. But I`d like to invite anyone who says I tapped out, give them a backhand four times, and ask them if they know where they are!!! And let the experts see it for themselves.

Eddie did what he did in his first cage fight – he won ok he was better!!!. But where was the referee? …………………. A 150kg guy was just hitting. Hmm till I got on my knees.”

What Lies Ahead for Mariusz Pudzianowski?

Ahead of his `World’s Strongest Fight` with Hall, Pudzianowski had previously mentioned the possibility of retiring from MMA.

He stated, “I’m nearing the end of my career, the end of this episode called ‘sport’ and, at some point, I will have to start a normal life. I’m certainly going to keep training, but no longer as a professional athlete. We’ll see what happens next.”

When Hall suggested a potential rematch during his post-fight interview, Pudzianowski reiterated his uncertainty about the future.

Admitting his current focus isn`t on future plans, he said, “I’m not thinking about the future. I turned 48, almost 49. The sport is for young people. What’s next? I don’t know.”
