FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Schedule, Results, and Teams

Sports news » FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Schedule, Results, and Teams

This year`s summer of soccer takes on a new dimension with the FIFA Club World Cup, marking the debut of the expanded competition. Hosted in the United States, this 32-team global tournament brings together clubs from across the world, all competing for a share of a substantial $1 billion prize fund.

The revamped competition features several prominent teams, including UEFA Champions League winners like Paris Saint-Germain and South American powerhouses such as Boca Juniors, each aiming for a deep run. European clubs form the largest group with 12 participants, while South America is represented by six teams. Four teams each from Asia and Africa are also taking part, alongside five clubs from North America, three of which are from MLS. Oceania secures one spot, notably held by Auckland City, the only amateur side in the tournament.

While the universal goal is success, the stakes differ for each team. Underdogs like Lionel Messi`s Inter Miami and Simone Inzaghi’s Al-Hilal are looking to make their mark against a backdrop where European teams are widely favored. Conversely, major European clubs like Real Madrid, Manchester City, and Inzaghi`s former club Inter Milan (who concluded their domestic and continental campaigns without silverware) view this tournament as a crucial final chance for a trophy before the season concludes.

With the action now underway, here is the schedule and a look at the results so far from the Club World Cup.
