With March now behind us, the Elite League season is approaching its climax. Only a handful of regular-season games remain before the league dives into two weeks of exhilarating playoff action.
March witnessed the Belfast Giants clinch their first title of the season. The Nottingham Panthers, not to be outdone, secured their second trophy, adding the Challenge Cup to their Continental Cup victory. All that remains to be decided is the final seeding for the playoffs. The Fife Flyers and Dundee Stars are out of contention; only the specific rankings for the top eight teams are yet to be finalized.
With this context, we present the penultimate Elite League Team of the Month for the current season.
Elite League Team of the Month: March 2026
Justin Fazio, Guildford Flames (Goaltender)
The Guildford Flames are entering the playoffs as one of the league’s most in-form teams. Paul Dixon’s squad achieved a 7-2-0 record in March, moving into sixth place and closing the gap on the Manchester Storm. Justin Fazio was an outstanding performer throughout this period.
The Canadian goaltender secured seven wins in eight appearances, notably recording back-to-back victories with over 40 saves each, and achieved a shutout against the Coventry Blaze. Even in his least impactful performance of the month, Fazio maintained a .900 save percentage.
Josh Tetlow, Nottingham Panthers (Defenseman)
Josh Tetlow is not typically a prolific point-scorer. The Team Great Britain international maintains a straightforward approach to the game, but he delivered a crucial assist in the Challenge Cup final.
When the Coventry Blaze surprisingly took the lead, the Panthers needed to respond in the second period, and Tetlow provided the primary assist that sparked their comeback. Averaging 14 minutes of ice time per night, Tetlow has matured into a dependable second-pair defenseman, earning him a well-deserved place in this month’s elite selection.
Steven Seigo, Glasgow Clan (Defenseman)
Steven Seigo, the Glasgow Clan’s leader in blocked shots, had a truly memorable March. He delivered a series of outstanding defensive performances, instrumental in helping Mike Sirant’s squad achieve a 4-3-2 record for the month, which kept seventh place firmly within their grasp. Seigo notably contributed 10 blocked shots and recorded two assists during March.
Jack Jacome, Guildford Flames (Forward)
With an impressive 10 points (five goals, five assists) in just nine games, Jack Jacome is an undeniable choice for the Team of the Month. The Canadian saved his most spectacular performance for last, netting a hat-trick in Guildford’s thrilling 3-2 victory over the Clan on March 28.
David Goodwin, Belfast Giants (Forward)
David Goodwin, captain of the Belfast Giants, once again led his team by example as they secured another piece of silverware. Goodwin delivered precisely when it mattered most, scoring a crucial brace in their 4-2 title-clinching victory over the Nottingham Panthers.
The American forward accumulated seven points (three goals, four assists) across nine games in March, consistently setting a high standard for Adam Keefe’s squad as they prepare for the playoffs.
Kristoff Kontos, Cardiff Devils (Forward)
Kristoff Kontos’ March was defined by remarkable consistency. The Cardiff Devils’ leading scorer registered at least one point in every single game, accumulating an impressive 15 points (four goals, 11 assists) in just eight appearances.
Kontos’ most memorable moment occurred on March 22, when he secured a hat-trick during a commanding 8-1 victory over the Dundee Stars, thereby solidifying his place in this month’s selection.
