Eddie Hall made a dramatic and successful debut in mixed martial arts on Saturday night, defeating experienced fighter Mariusz Pudzianowski by knockout in just 30 seconds.
Competing at KSW 105, `The Beast` quickly overwhelmed Pudzianowski, a five-time World`s Strongest Man winner and veteran of 27 professional fights.
Pudzianowski Claims Foul Play After Rapid Defeat
Following the swift loss, which marked his third consecutive knockout defeat, Pudzianowski voiced his dissatisfaction on social media. The 48-year-old alleged that Hall`s victory was achieved through illegal strikes to the back of his head during the ground and pound.
Pudzianowski stated in Polish on his Instagram story that “5 hammers to the back of the head were enough and I blacked out,” emphasizing that “A hit to the back of the head was enough!!!”
Eddie Hall commented on his win via social media, sharing footage of the fight, but did not directly address the accusations of illegal strikes made by his opponent.
Future Prospects and Rematch Talk
Immediately after securing the win, Hall expressed interest in potentially facing Pudzianowski again, even suggesting a rematch with shorter rounds for entertainment. Hall clarified that he isn`t focused on climbing the KSW rankings but wants to participate in fun, high-profile fights against notable figures.
In contrast, Pudzianowski appeared less certain about his future in the sport following the devastating knockout. Having hinted at retirement before the bout, he reiterated after the loss, “I`m not thinking about the future… The sport is for young people.” Approaching 49, his future plans remain unclear, and he did not specifically entertain the idea of a rematch.
