Eddie Hall and Mariusz Pudzianowski have hit the scales ahead of their anticipated super-heavyweight fight at KSW 105. Despite both former World`s Strongest Men undergoing significant body transformations, a substantial weight difference was revealed at the weigh-in.
The two strongman titans, who share a combined six World`s Strongest Man titles (Pudzianowski with five, Hall with one), are set to face off tomorrow night in Gliwice, Poland, in a clash years in the making after Pudzianowski`s successful switch to MMA.
Hall has notably reduced his weight for this bout but still opted to maintain significantly more mass than his Polish opponent. Pudzianowski, the elder of the two, has dramatically reshaped his physique since his strongman days and is now comfortable competing near the 265lb heavyweight limit.
Eddie Hall and Mariusz Pudzianowski Official Weights for KSW Super-Fight
In their official weigh-in ahead of the ceremonial face-off, Eddie Hall and Mariusz Pudzianowski revealed their weights for the super-heavyweight division, which has no upper limit above the 265lb threshold.
Hall weighed in at a massive 151.3 kg (334 lb), making him the heaviest opponent Pudzianowski has ever faced in MMA. In contrast, the Polish star came in at 121 kg (267 lb), essentially just above the minimum requirement for the division.
During his strongman peak, Pudzianowski`s weight often reached 320lb to support his immense lifting feats. However, his transition to MMA required a drastic weight cut, mirroring the transformation Hall has also undergone, though Hall remains significantly larger.
Eddie Hall Dropped 40lb During Camp for KSW Clash
While Eddie Hall famously weighed over 434lb when he deadlifted 500kg, he has significantly reduced his size since retiring from competitive strongman. He typically maintains a walking weight around 374lb.
Hall began his training camp for Pudzianowski weighing approximately 374lb and successfully shed around 40lb, partly through adopting a carnivore diet, to make his fight weight. Speaking on his approach, Hall emphasized fitness over sheer weight: “I feel good. The main thing about it is that with my training it’s not about the weight but how fit I am. Am I doing these four minute rounds and being able to recover within 90 seconds to go again? At the minute, I can say yes. I’ve got no intention to lose too much weight because the cardio is there.”
