Eddie Hall Discusses Possible Conor McGregor Fight and Conditions for Bare-Knuckle Debut

Sports news » Eddie Hall Discusses Possible Conor McGregor Fight and Conditions for Bare-Knuckle Debut

Strongman turned combat athlete Eddie Hall is actively seeking his next opponent following a spectacular victory in his mixed martial arts debut.

Known as `The Beast`, Hall initially expressed interest in facing Mariusz Pudzianowski after a unique 2-on-1 bout he participated in last June. Nearly a year later, Hall dominated the five-time World’s Strongest Man, securing a win in just 30 seconds in their professional MMA fight at KSW 105 in Gliwice, Poland.

Following his swift victory, the 37-year-old discussed potential future matchups, including a possible rematch with Pudzianowski, who had hinted at retirement. Hall also mentioned the idea of facing former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar but ruled out a second fight against Thor Bjornsson, who defeated him in a boxing match three years ago.

A surprising name that came up was former dual-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor, despite the significant size difference between McGregor and the 336-pound Englishman.

Eddie Hall Addresses Conor McGregor Fight Possibility

However, Hall indicated during a fan Q&A session shared on his YouTube channel prior to the Pudzianowski fight that he would be open to a “freak show” type of fight against `Notorious`.

“I would love to fight Conor McGregor,” Hall admitted.

“I think the weight difference would be absolutely comical.”

“There is weight classes for that reason.

“It would be dangerous, on Conor’s behalf.”

Eddie Hall Sets Price for Bare-Knuckle Boxing Venture

While a fight against McGregor seems highly improbable given the size disparity, Hall also addressed the potential for stepping into the world of bare-knuckle boxing, perhaps in a promotion like Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), which McGregor has ties to.

Hall confirmed that he has considered bare-knuckle fighting and would be willing to try it, but only if the financial offer was substantial.

“I have actually thought about doing bare-knuckle fighting.”

“I’ll say this, the money would have to be right. I would consider it. I would do it.”

“I love the bare-knuckle scene. I think it’s exciting. I think it’s exhilarating. I just love watching the bare-knuckle.

“Yeah, if the money is right, why not? I’ll be a part of that.”
