Arman Tsarukyan secured a decisive victory over Muhammad Mokaev in the Hype Brazil main event, a 10-minute submission-only grappling match. Leveraging his significant size advantage, Tsarukyan made quick work of the former UFC flyweight contender. In the seventh minute of the bout, the Armenian fighter expertly took “The Punisher’s” back and applied a rear-naked choke, compelling Mokaev to tap out.
After earning the Hype FC gold strap, Tsarukyan wasted no time in publicly naming his desired future opponents. His primary target is Charles Oliveira, whom he wishes to challenge for the Hype FC title defense in Sao Paulo. During his post-match interview, Tsarukyan declared, “I want to fight Charles Oliveira next… I was born ready for this, so I’m down any day.”
The UFC’s No. 2-ranked lightweight contender also issued a challenge to Brazilian jiu-jitsu specialist Dillon Danis in the same interview. Tsarukyan stated, “I want real challengers. I heard Dillon Danis wants to wrestle me. Grapple me, come on, bro. Let’s do it. Let’s make it happen. I won’t give you this title. I am going to smoke you.”
Dillon Danis Responds to Arman Tsarukyan
Dillon Danis promptly responded to the Hype Fighting champion’s callout, accepting it via a post on X: “I accept. @ArmanUfc I’ll see you soon.” He also added a comment implying an easy win.
Danis is currently slated to grapple Colby Covington in the co-main event of RAF 7 on March 28. On the same evening, Tsarukyan is set for a highly anticipated rematch against Georgio Poullas in the RAF 07 headlining bout. Their previous freestyle wrestling encounter ended in disarray due to a post-fight brawl. Despite “Ahalkalakets” being declared the winner (5-3), fans immediately demanded a rematch. Capitalizing on the surge in interest for Real American Freestyle following the altercation, the promotion quickly arranged the second bout.
